  Sony HCR-HC1 NTSC/PAL question

  Hi all

  Hopefully someone can help me with this.

  We are based in the UK and have some footage which was filmed by a crew in the USA using Sony FX1 HD cams (NTSC). We want to get a Sony HC1 and get this footage into our Mac using FCP5. Will the UK sourced HC1 output a correct signal to allow us to do this and produce NTSC material for DVD? The reason I ask is because you cannot do this with SD footage due to the PAL players only sending out a pseudo NTSC signal, right?
