Thank You. I’m glad to know it is possible. I’m hoping that you can answer my next question, which would be how?
Thanks in advance,

May 12, 2015 at 1:16 amWell, as my understanding..its always “on”. Just make sure and check the menu under camera..to see if its set on HD-SDI out put.
as I use my Marshall monitor all the time to see what I am recording, when I do a long interview or a live shot and it works just fine.
hope this helps…

I know this sounds a little kooky, but the end result that I am looking for is to record audio and video to the sxs cards, but also to send the video via SDI to another recorder to record just the video. Now I have been told that with SDI, the audio always follows the video, and the only way to keep the audio off the SDI is to turn the audio completely off on the camera, but then there would be no audio on the sxs cards.
Thanks again,

May 12, 2015 at 5:22 pmthat is correct…audio will always follow video in HD-SDI..its the way Sony built the camera…but you can always turn down the audio on the external recorder? are you using a Atomos box????
