    does anyone know anything about the new ex 30 deck?
    the specks i saw look very good. does anyone know how to make a sugestion to sony. it would be very nice if they added a RS 422 port for deck control

    Wouldn’t you think firewire would be sufficient? RS-422 deck control is to syncing moving parts. I don’t think there are any with the PMW-EX30.

    RS-422 could just as well be used in studio work – as i plan on doing! It would be hooked up on an extra channel on our EVS controller… IF it had RS-422 that is…. In my world firewire is more or less dead…
