I was wondering if there are any free video tutorials on the Sony EX-1 available online?
Thanks everyone.

September 27, 2009 at 4:46 pmMine is not a free EX1 tutorial- but worth every penny. I mean you spent thousands on the camera or hundreds on the rental, learning how to use it is worth $74.99 isn’t it? 🙂

September 27, 2009 at 10:26 pmIt’s not free (you get what you pay for), but you really ought to consider Doug Jensen’s DVDs for the EX1. You won’t find anything better. https://vortexmedia.com/DVD_EX1.html
Also, you might want to consider Doug’s Field Guide for the EX1.

I’ve found better forgiveness when there is still
detail in those 0s and 1s and protect
the subject\’s highlights. -

September 28, 2009 at 1:51 amOf course each situation is unique but if you’re using a Cine settings (such as 4) the curve at the top decreases the chance of white loosing the detail (hitting the ones) while you can generally bring down mids and blacks. Having to bring up mids and blacks increases noise.
