hello,
I need to change the 1 kHz signal generator in the M2000p to -18dB instead of the default -20dB. I contacted our seller and he explained me how to change the deck’s headroom. Sounded simple but I couldn’t get past the first step: going into maintenance mode. I was told I’d get in this mode by pressing ‘home’ and ‘menu’ (F5) at the same time. But it’s not working, I’m just getting into the normal menu. Also, I’m not finding any of this in the operation manual.So, how does one get into this maintenance mode on a sony dvw-m2000?

Have you flipped the switch on the card inside your deck to allow you to get to maintenance mode? It is in section 1-11 of your Installation Manual.
