After creating a DVD, when it is inserted into a player, the main menu button on screen is highlighted (this happens automatically) and the audio starts to play without any action on the part of the viewer. When the “play” button is pressed, the audio stops and the film starts as normal, complete with the audio in sync as it should be.

I’ve tried creating a JPEG and using that as the button icon, but the audio still starts to play. I can’t find any reference to this particular subject in the manual or Help facility.

How do I inhibit or eliminate this automatic playing of the sound track before any choice is made?. Any guidance will be much appreciated.

    Many thanks

with the menu selected, look at the properties on right. There should be an “audio” setting. Delete whatever is there (i.e. change it to none).

    Thanks Edward,
I found this menu item by tabbing on the screen outwith the button area, with it switched to “Audio none” it worked fine when I previewed it.
