Sony DCR-HC42 compatibility with Mac?
Hi All,
I have a Sony DCR-HC42 and some mini-dv’s I’d like to import into my Mac. I’m not seeing documentation online at Sony or Mac that works and the Mac doesn’t seem to recognize the Sony. I’ve read the manual, tried the software, gone to Sony, gone to Mac.com. I’m running out of places to look for info. Any suggestions?

I have a Sony DCR-HC32 that I’ve captured plenty of footage with on several Macs. It looks just like your DCR-HC42.
I use the tiny FireWire connection on the docking station.
