  • Sony Clip browser won’t export MXF

I transferred all files to an internal ntfs drive, and when I go to Export>MXF in the clip browser and choose a name to export, it gives me an error that “Conversion error ocurred. Conversion aborted.” Then “Condition Failure- Non Real Time Metadata XML validation- Details: Error in non-real time metadata content (invalid string) @Datatypes/AudioPortType.h:94” There’s only one format, MXF, so I’m not sure what I’ve got set wrong. Is there any other software not included with the clip browser CD that I need to install? I have Vegas 8 and am looking to import into that once the mxf files are made.

Files are at 1440×1080 @59.94i. Thanks for any help you can provide.

On the Windows side, I believe there was an update to the Clip Browser that came on the CD.

I had the same MXF problem with Clip browser 1.0. Downloading clip browser 1.1 from the Sony web site will fix the the problem.

Note: by the end of June 2008 there will (should) be a version 2.0 of clip browser with a lot of new functionalities.
