Sony Cinscape?
Posted by Russell Heimlich on April 25, 2006 at 4:11 pmJust got my email and wondered what others thought. Looks like a stepped down version of Acid Pro. I think they are trying to turn Acid Pro into a full fledged DAW application and use Cinescape to take the place of the old acid that was mainly for audio loop creation. I don’t really understand. Anyone at NAB catch a demo or can provide more info?

April 25, 2006 at 5:37 pmCinescore is not based on loops as in Acid. It lets you create music of any length and you start off with quite a variey of variations of different themes. You can influence the outcome by putting in “hints”.
The interface is VERY Vegas/Acid – like, which is a big bonus.
Bottom line is that the results sound great. I think this software is going to be a winner.

April 27, 2006 at 12:32 amHave any of the forum leaders actually tried a demo of Cinescore? I’m anxious to do that. Do you know when it will be released?

April 27, 2006 at 1:18 amI hope it comes it at the $200 that I have seen. I am sure there will be music ad-ons that will have to be purchased as well. Long term cost could go up but compared to spending money on packaged music that might be a deal.

April 27, 2006 at 9:09 pmI am not a forum leader, but I did spend an hour with it at NAB.
If you were even thinking of Sonicfire Pro with moods, wait until you can demo Cinescore.
