Sony BVM lost probe’s
Argh… so They “borrowed” an old standard def BVM monitor. I hooked it up and am going to use our BKM-14L and run some calibration…
only to see that somehow the previous owner erased all the choices of color probe except for a Minolta.
Any ideas how to get the BKM choice back? I’m baffled.

Wow! never heard of such a thing.
You should have the sync set to “off” when using the BKM-14
It’s a 3 level menu to select from 1:color temp, 2:probe 3: (it lists the last selected) so if you hit enter you should be able to select (scroll) through the 5 different ones.

No, that’s just the thing… the only one left in the Probe menu is Minolta…. I don’t know how they were able to remove the other probes….

So you selected Minolta, hit up/down and it doesn’t go anywhere?

Correct. You can hit ENTER on Minolta, and it simply takes you to the D65/D95 calibration selection screen.
In *my* studio we have 2 BVM monitors, they both display a list of 5 probes. I’ve told them they’re going to have to track down the engineer who serviced this one. I’m lost.

Out of curiosity which model is it?
With the shift button “OFF” (top left panel if the controller is built on or it will be on the remote for the monitors with no control panels)
F1 (on left panel) should be “OFF” also for level 2 menu to appear.
F2 (on left panel) can also be assigned as a short cut to manual color adjustment so F2 should also be “OFF”“everything is broken” ……Bob Dylan
