O.K. I have my frame filled with 4 seperate boxes of video with thick borders between them and I am wondering how to get one of the boxes to zoom out and become full screen. I just used the crop and wireframe features to resize the 4 clips and make the 4 way split screen. I only have FCP4 and no other tools such as motion or AE and cannnot afford them either so I hope that this can be done using only FCP. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Just set some Scale and Center keyframes to make the video box start from its current position in the 4 way split to go to 100% Scale and Center on the screen. You do this in the Motion tab in FCP.

To make it look smoother, you can turn on the Motion Blur as well.

Creating boxes in FCP can be a pain. For $10 you can simplify this process.
    Try the DH_Box filter @ https://www.digitalheaven.co.uk/indexflash.htm

thanks alot for the quick reply, I don’t know why I didn’t think of that myself. I’m still fairly new at FCP so I guess that’s my excuse. thanks again.
