Not really.

Manual rotoscoping (hand-drawing and animating masks frame by frame) is not much different in After Effects 7.0 compared to CS5.

If you show us a screenshot of what you’re working with, we can give better advice.

No roto brush like, but like Todd said if you show us what you’re trying to do other options may be available. Straight roto, luma/difference mattes and so on…

Wow, I wasn’t expecting such a fast response, especially on a holiday weekend.

Screenshots, that I can do.

The composition of the shot is extremely simple, and mostly static with very little shake.

The area that I want to fill in is shown here, in pink:

OR I’m not averse to just doing a virtual set. The only part I have to keep is the door, since we have business that involves it.

I’ve done one cut at this using hand rotoscoping, but I have to wonder if there’s a faster way.

I’ve posted about this sequence before, but can’t find it when I search – and, it’s back up and (more or less) rolling again.

Sorry, but I think that you’re stuck with rotoscoping.

There are tips for rotoscoping here.

You mentioned that you have a little bit of shake, so you’ll want to make sure that you know how to integrate motion tracking with rotoscoping.
