They note an SSD option for “rugged” but I suspect that drives up the price and shrinks storage considerably. I see 256GB max with SSD. ProRes will gobble that right up. You might get close to 3 hours record time.

[Ron Pestes] “The Ninjua looks really cool but only HDMI in? Isn’t that a little delicate for a connecto”
    You are absolutely right.
HDMI is designed for studio or so. When you have to move around, is not a good connexion.

Tell that to all the people in love with HDSLR shooting. I agree but somehow people are trying to make it work. There’s a whole bunch of small external field monitors people are using HDMI as well. Inexpensive iKan monitors for example.

and the 9″ Small HD monitor for another. It’s got all the other connections too, but they’re touting the HDMI in their ads. There’s going to be a lot of prosumer camera owners that will be S.O.L. if they want the Ki Pro Mini but don’t have HDMI or SDI. It’s obvious connection space is tight but it’s too bad AJA couldn’t find the room for the 3 component connectors.

Don, is not just about room to put the Components connexion. Is that you need as well a Digital/Analog converser inside the box.

Right. I figured there must be something more to it than just the connection space. It also could be a marketing thing with AJA as well. Leave some of the components and capabilities only for the Ki Pro.
