When I move an event on the timeline, an arrow at the top shows me what direction the event has been moved from and how far along the timeline, along with showing in numbers how far it’s been moved. I’ve always noticed that, but I don’t know if it’s always been there or I’ve never noticed it before, but I can’t seem to get that to come off the screen. I compulsively remove anything from the screen like that, such as a preview of a link that shows up if I’m online, so it’s distracting.

Aside from moving an event and then moving it back to where it originally was, is there any way to turn off this feature?

That’s been there as long as I can remember and I don’t think it can be turned off.
I’ve learned to ignore it so it doesn’t bother me.

hmmm..weird. I get what you are saying, but something is wrong if it stays there after you stop moving: as soson as I release the mouse, it disappears for me, and always has. I can’t offer a solution, but something is wrong with your environment. It’s a useful feature if you get it as designed, but if it stays there, it would be a pest.

Moral support only I am afraid.

I know its there, but my mind simply bypass it, cause it
doesnt serve a purpose for me while editing.

OK. I am a little puzzled. Was I wrong in thinking that the problem is that it persists, and not just that it appears? I took my clue from the OP saying they had to move the clip back to exactly where it came from to make it go away.

My main pint was that I do not see the persistence, just that for me it’s there as I move, then disappears.

Well, I feel like it’s a link preview that’s popped up, which I will compulsively close, normally. I don’t know why I seem to notice it now-whether it’s just started showing up like this or I’ve never payed attention to it before, but it’s obnoxious.

For what it’s worth, and to support Nick, I’m with him. Mine disappears as soon as I release the cursor. Searched the options but can’t find anything that may address this. Hmmmm.
