Some plugins do not load properly in my FCPX (latest update on OSX 10.11.2). They show up in effects browser and I can apply them, but they do not actually alter the image and do not open properly in the Inspector.

I’ve tried deleting FCPX prefs, rebooting, repairing permissions and uninstalling/reinstalling FXFactory but to no avail.

    Any tips?

    Try reinstalling FCPX.

Ha! I have uninstalled/deleted some plugins I didn’t need or use and it started working again. Great.

    What is a plugin limit?

Meaning a limited number of plug-ins or a type??? I don’t know. Why would trashing one plug-in allow another to be installed?

    I don’t think there’s a limit.

Most likely, for whatever reason, the plugins went corrupt through either a transfer or bad install.

Deleting the broken plugins fixed the problem.
