Hey guys! need help with attractor in C4D. What’s the way to make some geometry (let’s say Figure) as the attractor object? i thought that Source link in falloff options will work it out but not..

Here’s the pic https://yfrog.com/j3attractorj what i try to do. I need squares to be attractive to Figure..

The attractor just pulls objects to an axis position.

What you probably want to do is clone the objects directly onto the figure, scatter them with the random effector, and then keyframe the random effector’s strength to bring them into place.

Nah.. then there’s no dynamics. objects just fly in static way and lands on object.. I need them be alive like with attractor.
And attractor affects the objects not only on one axis, there’s presets for shapes.. box square and so on.. but how to ad some different object instead?

    Kind regards,

Oh, dummy me, I didn’t notice that you were using dynamics. Still, as far as I know there is no way to use geometry as an attractor — other than axis position.

I would go back to my earlier suggestion of cloning on the object and using a random effector, but animate the random effector’s strength and use the follow position/rotation parameters in the dynamics tag.
