    Hi there,

I’m making the move from Adobe remiere Pro to Avid Media Composer 3.5,

And I have some basic questions:

    (this maybe stupid…)
Does the app allways prompt “Your software has been successfully activated.” and waits for confimation when started?
Can you make it skip that?

Can I regard the DNxHD 1:1 and DNxHD 1:1 10 bit as final mastering quality for HD?

What is the proper way to import footage that has higher resolution that the project format,
so you can make virtual camera moves like zoom in and pan and such?
Like using HD footage on an SD project?

Thanks in advance for any reply,

    Oded

    Hi Oded!

Welcome to the COW! Sorry about the late response. It’s been a hectic couple of weeks.

There should be a check box that allows you to skip the activation menu, as long as it’s a legal copy.

Any 1:1 resolution should be considered a master resolution.

You can mix and match HD and SD resolution, as long as the frame rate is the same. You cannot mix frame rates.
