Solved – Using Compund Arithmetic to keyframe blending modes?
Wish there was a delete button, I always figure it out immediately after posting.
I was using another text layer instead of the footage I wanted to blend with. So now the settings are: apply Compund Arithmetic to Text Layer, with:
Second Source Layer > Video Footage
Operator > Overlay (this is not keyframed)
Blend w/ Original > Keyframed 100% to 0%Simple as that!

As described in the subject, I’d like to take black text with “Normal” blending mode and keyframe it to change to “Overlay” using Compoun Calculations/Arithmetic, but so far I’ve had no luck getting any change to show up at all. Either this is the wrong way or I’m just not getting it. I’ve read another thread and the Adobe help, but neither addressed what I’m looking to do. Thanks so much in advance!
