Okay so I know AE rather well but I’m still learning some and figuring out some effects. I’m putting together a project and using color video and I’m trying to single out one color and make the rest of the video and all of the other colors black and white. If you watch ESPN there were college football bowl commercials played pretty much around the clock with this effect last winter if that helps. How is it done? Thank you very much for any help.

Thanks but what do I do if there are other parts of the video that are the same color yet I want those parts to be black and white as well?

You’ll have to do some masking in that case, if the colors are distributed throughout the footage. Wouldn’t have to be very exact in many cases, so it’s not too bad.

Check out the Conoa KeepColor plug-in at https://www.conoa.com. Here’s a sample animation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oxs7UXM80Ec
