    When i add a new solid color adyustment layer and i want to edit it’s mask and choose color range in mask window in color range window i get all white or black nomether where i click, even when i change from selection to image under the prewiev i get all white picture?
    so i need manually to add color range mask, is it me not doing something good or is there a problem in photoshop, in all other adjustment layers color range works no problem
    i use cs5 extended

    Thats because, you have selected the mask layer. select your original image before you select the color range dialogue box. The color range dialogue or any other effects dialogue box reads only the current layer selection.

    select your original layer and select ‘color range dialogue box’ and make a selection then go back to your mask layer and do the changes.
