  • Solid system, but still no realtime for Red Dragon..

I still can’t get Red Dragon footage to play realtime. I get 23.976 for about 2 seconds, then it drops to 21.

    Mac Pro Tower 5,1.
    Upgraded processors 3.33×12
Titan as gui (not enabled for processing)
Dual TitanX in a cubix for CUDA
    10.11.4, latest nvidia, etc..
    10gE sustained 900Mb/sec+ from disks
    24Gb Ram
CudaZ, OSX, and Resolve all see all 3 GPU correctly.
Red Dragon, full debayer, 16bit, inside a 2k or 1080p timeline.

Interestingly, I get the same performance with only 1 TitanX as with 2.
    Which is:
    21fps without grades
14fps with a nr node on.

Anyone have thoughts or experience on any of this?

    Thanks,
    Blase

How does it respond with 1/4-res or 1/2-res good?

CPUs are not fast enough. Get a dual 18-core Linux!

Not on Dragon still MX and loving the tubes for real time playback.
Still have a CUBIX with a few Quadro 4000 and its doing okay.
However even to date the ROCKET helps on the older MacPro’s.
New ones dont utilize the ROCKET so were good with MX files on fast TB2 RAIDs.
