Solid State Backup
Hello all,
We’ve been using the HVX-200’s for a few years now and love the P2 recording. We’ve also been using the FS-100’s as backups while we also record on the P2 cards.
The Firestores have had problems over this time and I’m wondering if there are any Solid State portable recorders for the HVX?
I’ve seen the FS-H200 from Focus Enhancements, although that one “scares me” and also one from Shining Technology https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/774922-REG/Shining_Technology_FW1258XD_CF_64GB_450X_CitiDISK_CFR_with_64GB.html
Has anyone had experience with any of these or others?

Thanks for the info. Im not by a computer. Do they have firwire inputs?

No. Firewire is the reason the FS-100 was unreliable. You would connect the KiPro via Component. For the KiPro Mini, you would have to convert component to HS-SDI or HDMI. The KiPro records in ProRes codec.
