  • Software Waveform/vectorscope?

    Hi everyone,

I’m wondering if anyone on the board knows about or has used a software version of waveform monitor and vectorcope on their M100i system? I’m not talking about for input into the system, but rather for monitoring the output of NTSC legal levels.

I’m not even sure anything like this would work on M100i, but I’ve been asked to cut hardware scopes out of the budget for one of my edit bays and I’m looking for an alternative.

    Thanks in advance,

    Todd

There is none. Buy a good hardware based waveform/vectorscope (including gamut error warnings) and be safe for everything broadcasters will throw at you.

Thanks, Floh. I didn’t think there was anything that would work, software wise, but I thought I’d check here…

There is a software waveform/vectorscope in Media100 SW, I think there is one in HD also. I am not sure how it measures up to real-world ones though….

I believe that the media 100 scopes are for input only and cannot help you with graphics you create for output.

The scopes in HD/sw are for timeline/output, not for input.
