I’m looking for a software solution for a more efficient workflow when creating dailies DVDs containing hundreds of clips.

We’re primarily a post-prod house here, and we often receive raw RED footage, P2, XDCAM, etc.. While it’s not too difficult to set up batch transcode in Compressor to create the MPEG-2s with timecode burn-in and then burn them all to a single track disc with clips separated by chapter, I think there may be an easier way. I’d love to find a software solution that will let me take advantage of our Primera Bravo Pro disc publisher. I found a program called ShotPut Pro that will transcode media and backup/burn to data discs.

I’m looking for software that will automate the process of batch transcoding hours of footage to MPEG-2 then author and print a very basic playable DVD, it can auto play with no menu for all I care. Ability to interface with my disc publisher is a must.

Anyone know of anything? Could a well-written AppleScript help me out?
