  • Software to burn BDMV file to disc?

I’m just in need of software to burn a BDMV file to a Blu-ray disc, but it’s easier said than done. I’m not having much luck looking around, so I’m asking for recommendations.

I’ve created a Blu-ray on Encore, but it’s a dual-layered disc so I can’t burn straight from Encore to a BD-50 because there’s some glitch when Encore burns to BD-50s… So I’ve exported a BDMV file/folder plus certificate and just need software to burn it to disc from there.

    FYI: Mac user here.

I tried Toast Burn from the App Store, but it only authors data discs. I’ve looked at Toast but I can’t find a definitive answer about whether I can burn a BDMV file with the full software. And there are some harsh reviews out there. I don’t want to splash out on software, only to find it doesn’t do the job I need it for.

Please spare me the “Physical media is dead, don’t bother” or “Don’t use Encore to make a disc”, I really don’t want or need it. The disc is made to my specifications and I’m on the home stretch.

    Thanks in advance.

Are you OK to install Windows as a second OS?

This will allow you to use ImgBurn which is the best free software for DVD/BD build-write.

It handles break-points on dual-layer disks, can build an image from set of files and burn images also.

    Thanks for your reply, Roman!

ImgBurn sounds like a great option. I have access to PC computers, so I will make my discs with that.
