    Hi,

I have a bunch of photoshop files, that are people where I have deleted a white BG.

I’m using them all in after effects. Is there a way to control the edge feather within AE? The same way you would by creating a mask in AE, using the feather and mask expansion controls?

I’ve tried the matte choker.. but I didn’t find it great.

    Thanks!!

could you possibly duplicate the layer, then put it behind the original, and give it a slight blur? this is a technique i use in photoshop a lot, although ive never used it in after effects.
although if you do find another way i would be quite interested to know, as i need to do something similar.

You can use Layer>Auto Trace (tolerance and threshold at 1) to create a mask that you can expand/contract and soften as you would any other AE mask. Would that do it?
