Softclip curves weaker in V9
Hi there,
is it just me or are the Soft Clip curves not as powerful as they used to be ?
It seems that if I use the gain control the same way as I did in 8, I have much less “power” in the softclips curve to effectively prevent the highlights from clipping.A slice of color…

I have actually noticed the same thing on this first V9 project I worked on yesterday.

weird. just checked and using UI, soft clip at 100 does not do much, but with Tangent Element panel, I can increase soft clip further – but UI stays at 100….
or am I nuts?
BTW testing with BMD cinema dng raw files! -
It just may be the case that ui is staying on 100 and element can manipulate it more
as in software it is possible to press it more but ui prevents it.Sounds logical software engineering possibility to me.

Yes, thats the problem.
The UI is not going to 100% of the function.
The Wave can easily double it, that what I am used too.Well, I think we found a bug here 🙂
