Hi, I was wondering, do anyone know how they created that nice soft glow like you see in those wedding videographers’video demos? I tried blurring my video and reducing the opacity to 50% but it doesn’t look like the others. I think they’re using some type of plugins or something to do that effect. Any help would be appreciated.

Try using a layer mode on the blurred copy like soft/hard light, overlay, or even screen or add, reduce the opacity as neede

You did that to a copy of the video right? Not the original layer?

If not, duplicate the video. On the top duplicate, blur to about 6 then drop the opacity of it till it looks right to you. This should do a decent Pro Mist effect.

also a nice effect to add to the mix, especially if the video is dark or low contrast (DV video especially if it’s not really well lit) is try upping the brightness/contrast a bit with levels or curves. also glow or trapcode starglow (plugins) will give you a nice effect on the whites if applied subtely to the highlights.
