I am getting flashing and other artifacting to my video clips after applying a mask feather or soft edge filter. I am using an AJA ioLA, capturing Beta SP Component 10 bit.

    Any thoughts?

Okay seems that I am getting a lot of flaching/strobing when applying BCC effects or straight FCP effects.

10-bit rendering is noticeabily buggy in FCP.

Maybe you could send some feedback to Apple so that they finaly fix it. This bug has been there for a while now.

Try changing your timeline settings to 8 bit. Seems there are some compositing bugs in 10 bit…

    Hey Bob,

I agree, all 10 bit gets you is wasted drive space IMO.

    Have a wonderful day.

Yeah With Cinewave, I did everything in 8-Bit Targa. This is the first few spots done in 10bit. I will revert to 8 bit within the same project and see what happens.

    Thanks all
