After using the puppet tool on this project I found that it would not render more than a minute or so, even with out any audio. Has anyone else had this problem?

I had to render the final out in 5 sections and bring them back in to render out as a single file.

Is there an easier way or are there just too many key frames?

What do you mean by “would not render”?

AE indicated “render complete” after 1:00:00, even though your work area was set for 5:00:00?

No more than a minute would render before a memory error would occur.

I have AE set to use 3gig of ram.

Have you tried purging RAM with the Secret Prefs? Hold down the shift key when accessing the prefs, and only release it when the prefs dialog appears. Look for Secret in the drop-down, and set it to purge 5-15 frames during Make Movie.

And keep Activity Monitor or Task Manager open to see your RAM usage.

Yea I forgot about that setting. With the purge frames set to 15 the ram usage peaked at 12% instead of crashing at 85%.

    Thanks for the help.
