    Just wondering.

Personally, I haven’t seen any knock-me-on-my-hiney reason to upgrade from 11.0.

The new Mask Templates and Mask Apply to FX Mode knocked me on my hiney and are worth the price of admission alone. Add to that the fact that you can now directly manipulate OFX FX via handles on the Vegas preview window, and you’ve got a very “After Effects like” workflow right in Vegas Pro. These are really great features if you ever wanted to restrict an FX to a subset of the frame. Absolutely awesome!

I was really excited when I saw that you can transfer an entire edit into After Effects for additional tweaking. I am wondering how well this feature works? Do all the transitions, fades, automation envelopes etc show up in AE? I have been doing some edits that could benefit from this type of workflow and this was one of the features on my wish list. I’ll be downloading the trial version to try it out later today and if it works – I’ll be a happy camper! I skipped v11 but will be happy to upgrade to 12.

Not being familiar with After Effects, what is meant by directly manipulate OFX FX via handles on the Vegas preview window. Are there any tutorials or a page that lists the new features?

I purchased Vegas11 and never used it because of bugs I ran into so don’t want to jump into 12. Have you found it stable for someone now using a high end video card.

I was going to create a screen shot for you but I’ve been working on my Mac for the past 2 days and haven’t been at my PC workstation where I could do the screen grab but there are handles that show up in the preview much like they do for the new Title plug-in so that you can drag the handles on the preview and it will change certain parameters.

I assume the video that Steve posted has it in there somewhere. I don’t have time to watch it right now. When I’m back on my PC I’ll try and take a screen shot.
