So bizarre! Cursor position is offset.
I have tried quitting and restarting, but I can’t figure out why there’s a difference between where I click and where AE thinks I’m clicking. It’s offset by a few hundred pixels, which is making it impossible to select points on a bezier curve. I saw an short animated film where an asteroid hit and a man was shifted in space by about 5 feet. To put a hat on, he had to go away from the hatstand. And to leave his apartment, he had to turn an air-knob “nothing” 5 feet from his front door. AE seems to think it’s that man. I put a screencapture-video of the behavior:
And you can see how far my cursor is from the actual selected point.

My guess is that it has something to do with the layer being scaled (maybe with CR on?).

Sometimes, I’ll be beating my head against the wall wondering why Adobe on my office PC is doing weird things, and then I turn off the Caps Lock… Just a thought…

Hmm. I redid it all with my boyfriend, so I had another pair of eyes that I wasn’t doing something goofy, like mouse upside down, and seemed okay.
I never did figure it out. I just restarted after trashing preferences and rebooting 4 times when the %$#@!*& barometric pressure was rising, and it was okay.
Really odd!
