    so what sthe verdict, is 5 worth all the hype? beside the multi cam is it all that and more or is it just ok I have 5 now?

    The dynamic realtime feature sounds pretty neat. I’m looking forward to trying that out with my fibrechannel array.

    Well for starters… it’s RT is more robust (i.e. there’s simply more RT on any machine), I love that you can size text in the Browser as well.

    Capturing more than 2 audio tracks in a pass would make this a must have for many, and you can change the audio levels upon capture even from digital sources. The reconnection dialog box is better, and so is general response I think, especially in Tiger.

    HDV support. Rendering quality is improved quite a bit as well. Scaling in particular has had a rewrite.

    There’s a lot more than multicam involved here… There are improvements all over the app actually, probably over 100.

    The multicam alone is worth upgrading for. Personally, SoundTrack Pro’s ability to fix audio issues quickly, easily justified the upgrade. There’s a lot more, and many features not mentioned at NAB, but we were already sold…
