August 28, 2009 at 11:50 pmTry this: open Spotlight and do a search for “Capture Scratch” then take all folders and drag them to … open System Prefs, select Spotlight, click the second tab for the exclusion list … this is where to drag the folders. Then repair disk permissions for good measure and now see if you’re still dropping frames.

August 29, 2009 at 7:19 amYeah thanks for the advice I did actually add the whole media drive and add it to the exclusion list.
I’ll rebuild permissions and see if that helps. Failing that I’ll just ditch all the media and start again. It’s funny how one project works perfectly and the other won’t even play the clips in the viewer properly.R E D N A I L – M E D I A

Xdcam Ex users DO NOT UPGRADE to SNOW LEOPARD.
The act of just mounting an SxS card will cause kernel panics and inserting an SxS card into a compatible Macbook Pro will cause instant crashes.

August 29, 2009 at 2:54 pmAs reported by Mac|Life:
According to this document, CS4 (and the apps contained inside the package) is the only version of the CS family that will be fully supported in Snow Leopard.
As for CS2/3, Adobe didn’t test that software to see if it was fully compatible. Adobe also squashes any dream of them miraculously releasing updates for CS3 by letting us know that;
“Older versions of our creative software will not be updated to support Mac OS X Snow Leopard (v10.6).”Winston A. Cely

August 29, 2009 at 3:01 pmWell…
Don’t take wrong but that’s a pretty crappy way to handle business. It seems that Adobe is so greedy that feel they can alienate a customer base to make a profit.
Now, I can understand this stance with regards to CS2 maybe but CS3… This is very very disheartening to myself and others at our facility.
