I’m not a bleeding-edge kind of guy, so I’m a little late to the party. I’m finally considering doing the upgrade to Snow Leopard. I do most of my downloading of EX cards to my Macbook Pro using the Express slot. Have all the issues with Sony been resolved? What versions of Sony SxS software, Clip Browser and XDCAM Transfer should I have?

    I’m running:

    Mac OS 10.6.2
    Sony FAM Driver Tool v.2.1.1
    Sony Clip Browser v.2.0.6
    Sony Transfer Tool v.2.11.0

This all works well on my 17″ Macbook Pro.

I stayed away from upgrading to Mac OS 10.6.3 because a trusted friend said it was dodgy with certain apps. He’s also an EX1 user.

    That’s good news. Thanks, Don.

I am using 10.6.3 with no issues. Make sure that you load the most recent Sony drivers which I believe have been linked to in this forum or on the Apple Final Cut Pro discussion site (they are not easy to find on the completely unnavigable Sony site). My MacBook Pro 17″ really, really hated the older drivers.

Kudos on throwing out a word like “unnavigable” this early in the week.
