Snow Leapord, FC7, Aja Pro IO > Beta SP
Hello! First of all, thank you for reading!
I am familiar with the Aja Pro IO going from Final Cut into a beta SP. I am working on a new computer with Snow Leapord and FC7. I have installed the IO Software, drivers and control panel. I have had no issues digitizing footage over component into FC7.
My issue is with laying off finished shows to beta SP over component. When I test tone out of FC7 and into the IO, I can hear the tone through the beta. When I go to assemble edit on the tape, Final Cut finds the correct timecode and begins to record to the tape… without sound or picture. Deck control seems to be fine. I DO have audio / video enabled in the edit-to-tape window.
Any ideas?? Thanks!

Are you using an AJA easy setup?

I don’t think the IO is compatible with Snow Leopard. It will work as a converter, ie. taking SDI out of IO into the K3Box or Kona 3 directly. At least that’s what I was told by AJA tech support.

Yeah, you might be right about that.

Yes, Snow Leopard is not compatible with the IO LA, according to AJA Support and their are no plans now to write new drivers, unfortunately.
