Snapz Pro
I am doing some screen captures with Snapz pro and trying to bring them into FCP to edit together with video and some graphics that were done in Motion. The problem is that when ever I bring the QT file that I exported from Snapz into FCP it looks really bad. If I just watch it in QT it looks great. I know I am missing something here, anyone have any ideas?
By the way FCP is set up for DV-NTSC. I have tried using different settings exporting from Snapz (NTSC, Animation, Uncompressed)
Any pointers would be great, Thank You.

The image in the FCP viewer and canvas are always degraded. in order to see the full resolution, you need to look at an external monitor or export back to Quicktime Player.

Plus, you are taking a nice crisp video, and adding DV compression…5:1. It’ll make it look ickier.
Here is a tip to make sequence match the video you are adding…wierd codec and all:

Hi Chris,
How are you outputting your screen captures? i usually export in animation and then render in a DV timeline, get pretty high detail, very acceptable for website reviews.
hmm… I wonder what this button does…
