February 1, 2008 at 9:36 pmI don’t think it’s enabling itself. You’re probably hitting n when you drag and the setting resets after the action is executed. Whereas before the setting would stick (the way it should be).

It is enabling itself. It’s a bug in 6.0.2 and Apple has provided the workaround.

March 20, 2008 at 10:32 amSounds like I’m having the opposite problem as everyone else on this thread. I turn snapping on, drag a clip in the timeline, the snapping works but immediately turns off once I release the mouse button, without hitting the N key or clicking the snapping button in the timeline. Dragging the next clip, hitting the N key turns snapping back on, until I drop that clip and it turns off again.
This isn’t the end of the world, but it’s very frustrating to say the least. Something that’s worked perfectly in every previous Final Cut Pro version suddenly stops working when I upgrade.
Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.
