Anyone know how to turn this off, without loosing snapping to video edits? When you use a control surface and have millions of audio nodes as I do it makes snapping to video very difficult in many cases as the timeline will often jump to an audio node on the next frame. Searched the forum – no joy.

Come to that – another useful one would be having the next edit/previous edit command only jumping to video edits, not the millions of audio edits in between. I’d have thought auto select would be the command for this, but doesn’t affect either scenario.

    Cheers,

    Ken.

Try turning off the audible buttons for the audio tracks (the green buttons on the left of each audio track) course you won’t hear them but it will ignore them in next edit behavior. and ignores them with snapping turned on. But there is no preference for this behavioral change.

Might put this in feedback from the FCP menu. Apple does read all of these.
