i usually use acid to do most of my audio stuff. but this new project i have going i need to edit the video /w audio in time to a specific tempo.

the video is basically a loop based beat making thing using single shots of real instruments into a 2 min tune.

i made sure the tempo was set at 120bpm. i enabled snapping and snap to grid and the grid spacings at measures.

the problem is anywhere i place my cursor the clip will cut.

it does not seem to cut or shift to a specfic point on the timeline. it makes the entire point of my video nearly impossible to do.

like i said im usually use acid to make my tunes. so im used to shifting on a specific timeline and having my audio clips move in a predicted way. it makes sure things are always in tune and in time.

I think what you want to do is to split the video close to where you want, then when you trim the edge you’ll hit the snap points as you drag.

Another thought is that you are trying to cut the video excatly to the beat, but these points may not correspond to the frame boundaries. Since video must be cut in frame increments, this is something you don’t have to contend with when dealing only with audio.
