Snake wrapped around a tree
I’m trying to make a snake wrapped around a tree. At first, I thought it would be as simple as using a helix and a circle and sweep nurbs. It looks like a ribbon.
Then I switch to a capsule and a twist… no luck.
This seems simple… I must be missing something obvious.
I could make the basic shape with loft or hyper nurbs.. but how to I do a helical deformation to “twist” it around a tree?
Any ideas?

the helix and circle should work. Try different Plane settings for the circle and/or check/uncheck Parallel Movement in the SweepNurbs settings.

Boy do I feel dumb… it was the plane… I got it in my head that the circle would have to be certain way… and it never dawned on my to do it another way….
