I’ve got various lines of motext and I want them to move in time with a piece of classical music.

It’s a fairly sombre piece, starting with piano and with a cello joining in later.

The sound effector is set change the text y position and set to step and peak. I’ve got the frequency and bandwidth tuned down to the low register of the track so that all the letters move.

The effector works fairly well with the cello as the notes are sustained, but seems not to line up at all with the piano notes. There is lots of seemingly meaningless vibration in the letters. I can smooth it out with a delay effector set to blend but then it’s causing the movement to be late or just smoothing it all out. It just doesn’t line up in a meaningful way. In fact the text starts to move fractionally before the track starts.

    Thanks for your help.

    Best wishes,

    John
