  • Smoothing of Keyframe curves?

Posted by Jim Waterwash on April 27, 2012 at 9:30 pm

I am manually trying to match 2 video clips frame by frame and the result of my changes to the transform, still results in some jerky movements. Is there any way to smooth out the resulting keyframe curves?

    Thanks
    Jim

Click on the Keyframe editor button or hit Command and 8. There you can select keyframes and set them to Bezier which will give the moves a smooth look.

Thanks, I guess I was hoping for something that used a bit more intelligence and would round the points on the curve, so if one keyframe was too off, the keyframe values themselves would be altered. I saw there was an “average” function within the keyframe editor, so I guess I need to look further into it.

A Bezier curve is rounded. It will ease your animation in and out. Sounds like something is wrong. You may also want to check out continuous.
