    Hello,

I am editing some footage I have been sent by a production company. It is a format I have not used before, (Unix Executable File). When I am selecting to use the smoothcam, nothing happens. It doesn’t even begin analyzing, does anyone know why this may be?

Before you edit ANY footage, you need to convert it to an FCP friendly codec. Always. Convert the footage to ProRes, THEN see what happens.

Know that Smoothcam will sample the ENTIRE clip. If you use 5 seconds of a 15 min clip, SMoothcam will analyze the ENTIRE 15 min, that will take forever. So export your small section as a self contained file before you use Smoothcam.
