Smoothcam blurry moments
Hi guys,
Have you noticed the smoothcam blurry moments? I tweaked the parameters and still I’m getting the same behaviour. Camera shake is not severe so I don’t think it is related to the moments of shake.
I have the latest FCP so hopefully it is not software version related issue. Also it is not hardware related since I’m getting exactly the same blurriness on my MacBookPro and my G5. It is not related to interlace vs. computer monitor since I see the same on both.Any idea what the source of the flaw is? I’m happy to even have what I already get from Smoothcam and I’m very thankful but it would be great if the data interpolation wouldn’t have the blurriness. Any thoughts? I have an NTSC project. I’m wondering if people who have tried both SD and HD projects have noticed a difference. May be the plug-in is designed to have optimum performance with higher resolution content.

Arya,
Smoothcam creates weird artifacts with certain motion situations, it is unpredictable. Most of the time it works well, but it has it’s shortcomings.
