I have 2 macbook pros running final cut both with the same timeline settings. however
one system is saying that it will talk 1-2 hours to apply the smooth cam filter to a 20 second clip while the other system says it will take 30 minutes for a 2 minute clip.
how does this work and what is the fix??

    deadlines approaching! please help!

Smoothcam is applied to the entire underlying media file, not just to the part (the clip) you’ve selected on your timeline. To keep that from happening you need to export the bit that is you clip and recut that into the timeline before applying the Smoothcam filter.
