I’m trying to make a smoke trail coming out from a jet flying overhead. When I render the current frame with Render to Picture Viewer the smoke trail looks correct. But when I render as a full animation all I get is a trail of individual puffs. Is there a setting I should be aware of?

    Standard particles?

Yes (not using Thinking particles). I’m using the pyrocluster shaders for the emitter and the Environment.

there are separate settings for editor and render particle counts, is the render count the same as the editor count? (Birthrate Editor/Birthrate Renderer)

I’ve had them both set to 1000. I even set the Render Count to 10,000. It didn’t make any difference.

Well, I just discovered, and then read, that pyrocluster doesn’t work with the physical Renderer (which is what I was using). I hope they fix that soon.
