    Hi Everyone,

I am new to C4D and am having trouble with getting my smoke to react to the physical environment. I currently have a simple box with a pyrocluster emitter inside. The idea is that the smoke will bellow out of the box as the lid opens, however my smoke just moves through everything. See image:

I have applied a rigid body dynamic to the cube and the lid but I can’t find any settings that will stop the smoke from permeating the box.

    Can anyone help?

    Many thanks,

    Adam.

Getting pyro cluster to react well with objects is tough. You an start by adding deflectors. But the volume of the pyro cluster is not going to see that so you will have to adjust the deflectors location with trial and error.
There are other avenues of creating smoke…but its hard to get the volume of pyro cluster.
Here is a starter file with a couple deflectors.

Thanks Randy, this is a big help. I think I understand how it all works now. I’ll get these into my project and we should be right.

    Thanks again,

    Adam.
