So.. events, keywords, people – all good stuff (arguably)..

but I’m gonna have lots of events.

It seems a pretty standard thing that I’d want to be able to, for example, have a smart collection for all the clips with Mr Whippy in them or whatever.

So, I add the keyword ‘Mr Whippy’ to all my clips any all my events which feature Senior Whippy.

I have a new project – I want to use some Whippy footage – what have I got ?

Ah.. well for starters all keywords are event level only. All people are event levels only.

So I either have to trawl through all my 100s of events looking for ones that have Mr Whippy keywords… or search:

fine – so I click on my HD level, and do a search.

There I can say ‘keyword = Mr Whippy’ and find them all.

However, pressing the ‘New Smart Collection’ to save this at the HD level just gets me:

“The operation could not be completed”
“No other information is available about the problem”

    that’ll be that useless then…

I’m having the same issue. And why is there a greyed-out “New Smart Collection” when you right click on the drive? Why put it there if you can’t do it?
