Is there an application that can smart backup a library package?

I use ChronoSync for backup currently, but even if there is only a small change to the project portion of a library package, Chronosync wants to backup the whole library package again. Kind of a PITA when you have 100’s of Gigabytes or more in a library package.

Smart Sync (full version) will back up just what’s changed inside the package. I’ve e-mailed the developers with suggestions. Each time within a week they implemented my suggestions.
It can be found on the App Store.

Of course, my favorite is BRU PE which will not only backup the bundles, but also track down any referenced files.

You can create a Full job that contains your bundle libraries and then create an incremental definition that will only include the modified/added files.

BRU … because it’s the RESTORE that matters!

Have you tried checking the “Dissect Packages” option in Chronosync?

[Brett Sherman] “Have you tried checking the “Dissect Packages” option in Chronosync?”

Ah, that sounds like a winner. I searched the documentation for packages but nothing turned up.

    Thanks!

Then there’s always the very pragmatically named Backups for Final Cut Pro: https://itunes.apple.com/app/backups-for-final-cut-pro/id586594646?mt=12

But I personally simply use FCP’s own backup feature and have set it to back up to my Copy folder. https://copy.com?r=D4Fz3M
